Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are concerned that you might be infected by Coronavirus, as per advice from the Victorian Department of Health, we ask you NOT to present to the clinic initially, but to phone the dedicated public hotline on 1800-675-398 to seek further advice first.

If you are seriously unwell and require emergency treatment, please ring 000 and advise during the call your concerns about potential Coronavirus infection.

For the safety of patients and staff, we are reducing the number of people needing to attend the clinic, and encouraging as many appointments as possible to be done as a telephone consultation.

These will be bulk billed for those patients in the following criteria:

  • 70 years of age or over
  • Chronic Disease
  • Pregnant Women or parents of children under 12 months of age
  • Immunosupressed
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

If you do not qualify under these criteria a private phone consultation fee of $40 will apply.

Changes to our services

In the extreme circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been forced to readdress clinical priorities and are dramatically changing the way our practice operates, for the safety of staff and patients, and to provide the best chance for the practice to function and remain open.

Starting Monday 30th March we will be dividing the clinic group into teams who will work separately from each other.

This means you may not be able to see your doctor of choice as easily as before

It also means that we may be unable to provide certain non essential services.

These changes will persist until such time as the pandemic situation eases.

Essential services include:

  • Anyone who is unwell
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Mental Health Care Plans
  • Workcover
  • Childhood Immunisations
  • Flu Vaccines
  • Antenatal Care
  • Child Health
  • Contraceptive advice and treatment
  • INR management
  • Wound care and injury management (lacerations / fractures)

Examples of NON Essential services:

  • Wart treatment
  • Health Assessments
  • Routine Health Checks
